Eventbrite is the default choice for selling tickets online, mostly because of its marketplace: people browse it to find things to do. That reach comes at a price. Eventbrite charges a service fee on every paid ticket, and on higher-priced tickets those fees add up quickly for you or your attendees.

Flat per-ticket fees are usually cheapest once tickets cost more than a few dollars. Several alternatives pay out through your own payment account instead of holding funds. TixFox pays out to your own Stripe account, and Ticket Tailor lets you connect your own payment processor. That usually means faster access to your money than waiting for the platform to pay you after the event.
The platform fee is what the ticketing company charges for its service, either a flat amount per ticket or a percentage. The processing fee is charged by the card processor (for example Stripe) to move the money, typically a percentage plus a small fixed amount. When comparing platforms, add both together for a realistic total.
Possibly some, if a meaningful share of your buyers discover events through Eventbrite’s marketplace. Check where your sales come from first. If most come from your own links, email and social posts, a lower-fee platform will usually leave you with more money per ticket.
